Barbados is often regarded as the birthplace of Caribbean rum, with the first rum being produced on the island around 400 years ago. Bumbu Rum has spent ages honing the technique of distilling and blending, handcrafting their rums from the best sugarcane gathered from across the West Indies. A rum that is superbly balanced and smooth without sacrificing richness and depth.

Bumbu XO is a smooth, rich, and complex artisanal rum that has been aged in bourbon barrels for up to 18 years before being completed in Spanish white oak sherry casks. The end result is a perfectly balanced, endlessly drinkable rum. Bottled at 80 proof in a matte black finish bottle with silver and white embellishments and a “X” medallion in silver.

On the palate, rich notes of caramel, toasted oak, and vanilla give way to orange zest, peppery spice, and even a tinge of coffee. About Rum

Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.

We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and añejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.

Aromas of toffee, toasted oak, and vanilla give way to orange zest, peppery spice and even a hint of coffee on the palate. The finish is smooth and supple.
