Macallan Edition No.1-6 Collection
It’s difficult to imagine today, but Macallan was primarily utilized as a component malt in blends during the majority of the twentieth century. It wasn’t until the 1980s that the distillery decided to focus on its single malt brand. This coincided with the pinnacle of interest in the high-quality releases licensed to Campbell, Hope & King and Gordon & MacPhail by the distillery in the 1960s and 1970s. These are still among the most in-demand items on the market. While Glenfiddich and Glenlivet continue to lead global single malt sales, Macallan is by far the most sought after. So much so that they had to build a brand new distillery in 2018.
A subterranean architectural marvel with 36 copper pot stills can be found on the Easter Elchies estate.
The Edition series concluded in Autumn 2020, and this is the entire set.
