Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, a whiskey of exceptional depth and intensity within the extra-matured category, has undergone a decade-long maturation process in American white oak casks. Subsequently, it has been carefully moved into meticulously chosen ruby port pipes sourced from the esteemed Quintas, or wine estates, of Portugal. The additional aging process that takes place in the port pipes contributes to the enhanced maturation of Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, resulting in a spirit that possesses a rich and intricate combination of both sweet and dry flavors. Furthermore, this maturation process also creates a captivating juxtaposition between the smooth and crisp textures, adding to the overall complexity of the spirit. The non-chill filtration process is employed to enhance the aromatic properties and mouthfeel of the product.
Aroma: Dark mint chocolate, tangerines and Seville oranges mingle with sandalwood and walnut before giving way to a spicy finish of pepper and nutmeg.
Taste: Mint chocolate and walnuts envelop the palate like velvet, laying the foundations for rose, Turkish delight and sweet Seville oranges.
Finish: Long lasting silky aftertaste leaving dark chocolate mints and traces of orange.
