Description
I W Harper Gold Medal
There’s a lot to tell about the history of I.W. Harper.
-
Very soft. Notes of vanilla, marzipan, and caramel Coconuts and dried bananas. Apricots as well. I. W. Harper Bourbon was notable for having an extremely low rye content, about eight percent.
-
Orange marmalade and tangerines Also strawberries. Buttery mouth coating. Truckloads of cinnamon. Custard powder. Honey candy. Some tannins. Toasted almonds. Later on followed with pine and mint.
-
Quite long to be honest. A little pepper and nutmeg. Cloves. Liquorice at the end. A decent sweet bourbon from the mid 1970’s. The back label on the miniature I tasted, states that this whiskey is five years old.
